James Cameron's sci-fi fantasy Avatar has broken another record after becoming the highest grossing film in IMAX history.
The Oscar-nominated movie has already shattered box office records in the U.K. and U.S., and boasts a worldwide total of $2.4 billion, 10 weeks into its release.
IMAX bosses have now reported its portion of worldwide earnings passed $200 million (£125 million) on Sunday.
The figure far surpasses previous high grossers The Dark Knight, which earned $66 million (£41.3 million) for IMAX during its initial 2008 release, and The Polar Express, which has earned $71 million (£44.4 million) from several seasonal releases since its 2004 debut.
