Actress Valerie Bertinelli's latest weightloss ad for U.S. diet firm Jenny Craig has been axed following complaints from a rival firm.
In the commercial, the star claims Jenny Craig dieters lost twice as much weight as those using WeightWatchers, according to a "major clinical trial", but the officials for the rival firm insisted the ad was pulled off the airbecause the tests never took place.
WeightWatchers bosses made their case in federal court last month, prompting a New York judge to temporarily ban Jenny Craig's marketing men from airing, broadcasting or publishing the ad.
